I have always wanted to make these. I saw a recipe on the back of an ice cream cone box, but with that recipe the cake was level with the top of cone. I didn't think it looked as fun. So I decided to make the cupcakes the usual way but before I baked them I put the ice cream cones upside down on top of each cupcake. While they were baking I noticed that the cones were slightly tipping, so every so often I opened the oven and carefully straightened the cones.
This was a really fun dessert and the kids loved them.

These really look like ice cream cones, but they don't melt. Very delicious!
