Ingredients for cake:
1 box yellow cake mix
2 eggs
2 cups root beer
3 oz. box instant vanilla pudding
1 tsp. root beer extract
Ingredients for topping:
8 oz container whipped topping, thawed
1 cube melted or soft butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. root beer extract
5 crushed root beer flavored candies
Directions:
Mix the above ingredients for the cake part together in large bowl. Pour into two round greased cake pans and bake at 350 degrees for 30-34 minutes. Let cake cool for 10 minutes and then remove onto wire rack to cool for an additional 30 min.
Frost cake by spreading half of the frosting on bottom layer of the cake. Add top of cake. Top with remaining frosting. Sprinkle with crushed root beer candy for decoration. Store covered in refrigerator. Serve cold with a root beer candy stick broken in half and inserted into each serving of cake to look like a straw. A scoop of ice cream on the side is delicious too!

ROOT BEER FLOAT CAKE
I love root beer! So I was so excited to try this recipe. It is VERY yummy and definitely worth trying. The topping is the best. It kind of tastes like the foamy ice cream part of a root beer float. I would recommend this cake to everyone who likes a good root beer float!
